Wedding Wednesday

Last week I visited my Wedding planners Design studio to personally see the truck delivering all our choices for my reception Hall.  I took a few pictures on my blackberry to share with Our Mom’s the Husband and LRs Wedding Wednesday. Check out my Wedding reception tables and it’s attire.  Linen by Roberta Karsch, table setting by classic Party Rentals, chairs by Chameleon Chair Collection and small touches of sdlr make my Dream come to life. NO Bridzilla just one happy Bride with the final descision of our table design.
Last night I found the Veil I wore on the night we eloped in Las Vegas. The best one Little White Wedding Chapel had to offer and its beautiful!. Simple sweet and all I needed to say my Vows. On our 6 month anniversary Nik suprised me with a little renewal of our vows on the beach in Cabo and thats when Nik told me he wanted to give me the dream wedding I’ve always wanted.
So with that I DO!
Ps
I was a little worried that the swirl silk flower table cloth and chair backing were going to scream Too Much, Too over done, but with the simple glass overlay it works together. Hollywood Glamour with a splash of sexy, chic white, and a twist of comfort. I am obsessed with my tables.

Mr. & Mrs. Richie’s Wedding Cake

Mr. Richie has given me the best blessing every Bride wants to hear. “Baby Girl you can have Your Big Wedding,  No budget go and be the Bride of your Dreams.”

So I’m off to be a bride in a Traditional White Wedding Wonderland except my White Wedding will have the” WOW” written all over the simple tradition. Everything in Our Wedding is going to be the most extravagant design and decor in it’s department, and our Wedding cake will be big white and fabulous just the way I like em.

Ladies let’s try and not rip my Wedding cake to pieces as the Wedding hasn’t even happened yet and I’m sharing my most precious planning details with LR . Comment like a lady not page six.

Btw the cake stands 5 feet 1inch just like myself and I bet Nik is eating those words of No Budget by now!!!

Westwood Wedding Wednesday

Picture of Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie in the dress.

Quote from the Fabulous Blog aisledash.com

“let’s not forget that no matter how beautiful the wedding gown, how expensive it is, or how chic the designer label – it should never overshadow YOU. Even if it is a gift from Vivienne Westwood herself. Because you (and your husband) should be the focus of your wedding day – not your dress.”

My opinion

I absolutely 100 percent disagree. I might be sounding a bit snobby lately, but I believe my Wedding Dress should overshadow me my Husband and the damn location. The focus of my Wedding is my Wedding Dress and as much as some say it’s Not it so is! And it will be for my Wedding. I mean let’s be honest I think every Lady would wear a Couture Wedding Dress from Vivienne Westwood personally gifted from herself just because you don’t want to over shadow yourself and your Groom??? Ridiculous I say Ladies it’s all about the dress it always has been and always will be the Star of the Wedding. With that being said I have been obsessed with Vivienne Westwood’s designs since I watched Carrie Bradshaw and her bird hat slip into the Famous Dress in Sex in The City Movie and thought I need that dress!

What’s your take on how big or how small your wedding dress should shine or shadow?

P.S. The Vault has been gifted 1 pair of size 7 Vivienne Westwood Plastic Dreams Shoe collection 2011 before the world can own! Only a few selected Ladies were gifted these one of a kind Shoe and I’m donating my gift to the Vault for you all to bid on. The 50% of the funds will be donated to Operation Smile one of my favorite Charities and 50% will go into the Vault shopping shipping fund.

Email lamasrichie@gmail.com to bid to for these beautiful shoes.

Chanel Cookies

So I’m starting Wedding Wednesdays for all my Brides-In-Planning and the progress of my own wedding I’m planning. The first and only step I know about planning a wedding is choosing your date and I’m happy to announce Nik and I have OFFICIALLY set our wedding date! My father will finally walk his first daughter down the aisle and give me away with his blessing on July 11, 2011!

Now let the planning begin and parties kick off. Now that Nik and I have our date, I need a bridal shower to jump start this extravaganza and I am happy to share my theme.

* Fashion Infused Theme
* Chanel hand-decorated cookies
* Christian Louboutin place cards
* Sak’s Fith Avenue Bridal Cake
* And my guests will receive their very first pair of SDLR high heels, each individually created for them.

Wedding Location Breakdown

[Pelican Hill ceremony lawn]

My current top 2 Wedding locations that have made the first cut are as follows:

1) Pelican Hill- Newport Beach CA

Sight- The Pacific Ocean stunning

Sound- Waves Crashing

Smell- Beach Aroma

2) Montelucia- Paradise Valley AZ

Sight- Sunset over Camelback Mountain is beautiful

Ceremony- Inside the little chapel in the resort has chandeliers dangling giving this rustic chapel and chic feel it won my heart over.

Simple- this resort gives my guest a simple relaxing weekend nothing to booshy booshy.

I can’t say I am 100% sold on either one, but they are winning. Nik wants to get married in a Castle or in Las Vegas… so we will see.

Still On The Hunt For A Wedding Location

I am leaving Orange County, California for San Antonio, Texas tomorrow (to support my husband)… I have never been to Texas.

Anyway, I tried to fit in some wedding stuff today. Some of you guys recommended the Montage resort in Laguna Beach so I decided to check it out.

I wasn’t feeling it ladies… on to the NEXT.
