Hello my loyal LR readers, hope you had a Bathrobe shopping platform wearing kinda weekend. So excited for my daily dose of LR and appreciate all who keep coming back! There’s a lot of exciting things LR has for all readers… so don’t miss your weekly dose of LamasRichie.com.
Monday shoe day – This week is Easter Week so in true tradition of my holiday shoes let’s discuss the Easter Heel. Every holiday I celebrate with a new pair of shoes. A special memory to have, to hold, to wear and to splurge. My vault is filled of with New Years shoes, Birthday shoes and my Christmas shoe all from 1990-2012. Its kind of a neat thing to see the 04 Easter next to the 2011 Easter shoe… what an inch of difference.
The shoes that really have memories stay and this is also a way to start your collection with a passion and purpose. It’s a memory or a great point when an argument occurs after your loved one goes to the mailbox before you had a chance to remove the credit card statement.
Hit up stores like DSW and Off Broadway when looking for a holiday shoe. Stores like these will have a wide aray of The Shoe as department stores will only be displaying the “In Season” looks unless they are having a clear out merch sale.
Example: you are on the hunt for your 30th Birthday Shoe and your Birthday happens to be in December. When making a left into the department stores all you’ll see is red, silver gold and shiny. You make a right turn to DSW, you’ll find yourself not only a great deal on a set of BRAND NEW TISSUE included shoes, but most likely the Neon Pink pumps you had craved to find.
I love the off department stores shoe selections when hunting for my Holiday Memory Shoe, but of course your daily driver heels/platforms boots etc should be always purchased at a department store. If you choose not to… your feet will need more than a weekly pedi my lady. So go into these’s stores in moderation and with a hat on.
Take my tips and you shall find the ultimate Easter heel. Happy hunting.

Hello LR Ladies…
Sdlr here and I decided to bring the creative side back to LR. My personal thoughts, tricks, tips on fashion, life and all the gossip I once shared. Monday is always going to be Shoe day.
CREATE A WEDGE IN YOUR LIFE!
Over the weekend I was on the hunt for my new daily driver platform/wedge that was in slip-on-form. I like the Summer Spring Shoe to be easy to slip into and flat sandals do nothing for my figure!
I could not find a fabulous slip on platform to save my Shoe love life. So if you want to get creative or save some bills to pay some bills this is what you’ll need for a New summer shoe!
* search your vault usually in the corners under clothes for those platform wedge’s that haven’t made the cut since 1990.
* all you need is a good base to work with such as mine above.
* I wanted a slip on platform so I cut the platforms ankle straps as close to the base as possible. (regular scissors- wire cutters) depending on straps etc…
* find patches, fabric, or felt with diamonds already applied and shape the appliqué around the base or top.
* tacky glue/spray, nail glue works best.
* simply design your Wedge with the vision of what you would want to see on the foot.
* remember you have to wear them, so make sure you place jewels n’ things in daily driver wearable positions.
* stick with a Vision! It’s easy to get lost in the design and end up with a crazy bird lady shoe.
You can do as much or as little with revamping an old daily driver. My strapy platform had worn its days so cutting the worn out straps gave me a slip on and revamp all in one. Never deny a good platform base!
Have fun and send in photos if you decide to sdlr them. Before N after We’ll post it! Happy to be back LR Ladies- have a fab week.

So ladies the only thing you should ever purge is your Purse! A Ladies purse is her traveling command central, housing her most important and often used tools of the trade. So having a purse that lightens your daily load (instead of weighing you down) is key.
A bulging bag is a lot of things, but let’s be honest not elegant. If keeping your purse clean feels like a Sisyphean task, follow the sdlr steps towards redemption:
1) Dump everything out on a table and sort through your goods. Separate items into:
*Things you use every day (keys, wallets, Lipstick, etc.)
*Things you use just once (SHOPPING LIST, bills to mail, an article on Shoes to read, etc.)
*Junk (scraps of paper, furry Life Savers lol, or a stray Barbie-doll Shoe)
2) Contain Yourself and find a home for everything:
*Keep essentials in separate, zippered pouches, such as makeup in one pouch, and stamps, pens in another. This will also make switching bags a breeze.
*Match your purse accessories for an elegant, clean look. A wallet, makeup pouch, and notebook made out of the same fabric are a must Ladies!!!! Color brings order out of chaos. Tip: clear pouches are helpful for keeping things separate but easy to find.
*Keep your receipts and coupons in a separate, leather envelope or other pouch. I hate when my wallet is stuffed out with crap.

I found some major treasures today kids. I’m in Orange County, California and have hit about four boutiques this afternoon. I bought some really cute stuff for the Vault.
I’m at South Coast Plaza now with all the herd, not finding anything interesting. Good news is my Christmas purse and Ring are looking good today. lol

My locks of hair are always wondering what’s the next miracle shampoo or spray to maintain it’s smooth silky soft sweet perfection. I am one of the Ladies that comes across a beauty secret and shares… a secret is the outcome of myself experimenting and hoping it turns into the miracle worker I wanted. Some of my beauty experiments have left me orange, uneven, blotchy, scared fat, eyebrow-less, burnt and banned. But others have saved me from the bell.
My hair tips/facts of life:
The average person has (100,000) hairs. Blondes usually have the most (120,000) redheads the least (90,000) and stick brunettes somewhere in the middle.
Hair Growth- at any one time 90 percent of your hair is growing and 10 per cent is resting.
The average person loses about 75 hairs a day as part of the natural cycle but please don’t start counting
If you chew your hair its very dangerous for your stomach -FYI
I am sorry if I disappoint, but cutting your hair does not make it grow faster. Hair trims will only prevent split ends, but not help it grow! That’s a salon myth.
Using the same shampoo is fine, the myth that you have to switch up your brand is a product sales trick.
Shampoo- opens up the hair cuticles in order to cleanse it, Conditioner- closes it down afterwards.
Eugene Schueller is my hero for he was the first chemist to create the concept and first synthetic hair dye in 1907 -oh and founder of L’Oreal.
Coloring your hair does not make it fall out! Dyeing your hair may make it more prone to dryness and breakages, but there is NO scientific evidence that it results in hair loss, in fact Ladies bleach can sometimes make the roots seem plumper, making your hair look thicker overall.
Okay so listen, I am not a beauty school graduate so I can’t recommend what hair products are best for you, but always remember hair washing is more quality not quantity. Trust me I am a Lady that love to dump the whole flipping conditioner bottle on my head, but it actually works in reverse. Shampoo with just a few quarter sizes and conditioner is mainly for your ends as it leaves roots and top head flat. If you are a blonde, we have to use conditioner every wash but if you’re not once or twice a week is enough and you might just have the volume you’ve been looking for!
Happy Holiday hair,
