The vivacious, Latin blonde former star of “General Hospital” and an elite member of Hollywood royalty, Shayne Dahl Lamas, daughter of famed “Renegade” star Lorenzo Lamas, is more than just a pretty face. This Fall, she is set to star in her own E! Entertainment Network reality television program, “The Lamas Family,” continuing to captivate audiences across the nation with her versatile and talented background as an actress, designer and philanthropist. Camera crews will follow her gifted family of talented actors and musicians throughout their various ordeals and triumphs, led by Shayne herself.

In addition to headlining her own reality series from the network that has brought audience such hit shows as “Keeping with the Kardashians,” Lamas is also stars opposite Gavin Bristol (TWILIGHT) in the upcoming coming-of-age horror thriller, IN THE PINES, as “Maggie” slated for a 2009 release. Many fans remember Lamas as “Young Carla” from the ever-popular daytime soap opera, “General Hospital,” who appears in flashback sequences of the character, played in present day by famed Soap actress Laura Wright, as a bad girl with an even worse attitude. Her brush with daytime television led her to the big screen in several feature films over the past four years.

In the Star Wars geek parody, FANBOYS¸ Lamas plays a gorgeous beauty who can’t help but taunt the geeks who pine after her. ENDLESS BUMMER, out in theaters this summer, is another role that showcases Lamas’s beauty and funny bone as a cool surfer chick in the comedy where a group of teen surfers embark on a road trip to track down a lost iconic surfboard. In the screwball sorority comedy, DEEP IN THE VALLEY, Lamas was put high-heel to high-heel with sorority housemother Denise Richards as the sorority sister “Candi” alongside Scott Caan (OCEAN’S THIRTEEN) and Kim Kardashian (DISASTER MOVIE).

Born in Malibu, California Shayne is the middle of three children born with the talent gene. Lamas comes from lineage, with hearty Latin roots, of accomplished entertainment industry figures, including her grandfather, the late, well-respected actor and director, Fernando Lamas of Argentina known for his works such as “Starsky and Hutch” and “The Violent Ones.”

Fernando Lamas was such an icon that he even appeared as himself in an episode of “I Love Lucy.” Shayne’s father, Lorenzo Lamas, an American actor turned world-renowned heartthrob from his roles as “Hector” in “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “Reno” in pop culture phenomenon “Renegade.” Even her siblings are making waves in Hollywood! Her older brother, AJ, starred on the series “As the World Turns” and “American Family” and her sister, Dakota, is currently recording an album.

Life, at first, did not seem like it would be filled with glitz and glamour. Moving from Los Angeles to Arizona when she was very young, Lamas started out living a normal, low-key life. However by age six, she was already dipping her feet into the arts. Soon, she was involved in dance, gymnastics, cheerleading and theater including lead roles in productions of Rent and Romeo & Juliet. Lamas was even crowned “Ms. Cinderella of Arizona!” Growing up, Lamas also visited her father on the set of “Renegade” every summer which began to inspire her to dream of becoming an actress.

Life changed when Lamas moved with her family to Los Angeles and told her father she wanted to try acting. Her father, knowing how hard it is to make it as an actor, made her audition for him to make sure she was ready. With her father’s approval, she started acting and dancing classes before being cast into the Soap world’s most coveted series, “General Hospital.” Stemming from Latin roots, Lamas enjoys surfing, snowboarding, working out and playing her dog, Madison.

When she isn’t filming a new movie, dropping jaws on the red carpet or shooting her reality series, Lamas loves traveling to islands all over the world. However, one of Lamas’s biggest passions is fashion!
